History Adventures with Kids in New Hampshire

So this one is an unlikely one... How can history be kid-friendly? It all depends on how it is presented!

The Fort at No. 4

The Fort is a recreation of Charlestown, NH from the 1740's. Kids can churn butter, trade and barter, play 18th century games, and learn the art of 18th century crafting. Tour guides are dressed in costume and act their roles. Throughout the season there are various special events, including a Market Fair and May Pole, The Siege of 1747, Children's Weekend, Stark's Muster, and a Thanksgiving Celebration (on Thanksgiving Day). During the summer there are several week-long camps for 8-14 year olds.
